Truly our ‘best day ever’
It’s funny that not only did it not go as planned (as every wedding and really every life does) Also was surprised that my expected favorite moment/s was not what I planned it would be. I originally thought before we were married my favorite part or parts would be that in the movies: the first look, the first kiss, first walk, first hug, first dance, blah blah blah. I really thought I’d at least keep the first look, kiss, & dance a special place in my heart. Don’t get me wrong they do and always will regardless. But not like how I thought they would. Everyone is different and depending on how your wedding day goes this may take affect in this as well. But my favorite moment/s were something totally unexpected and from left field.
My favorite moments were:*The first look (of course) *The first kiss (the natural romantic in me) &Surprisingly *a small moment of time when my husband and I were taking pictures outside after we were married before we went into the reception. We weren’t necessarily alone however I believe this is when all or a lot of the wedding stress evaporated for even just a a few seconds. And it sunk in. “We’re married” “you’re my husband. & I’m your wife”. ❤️When I think about this and looking into his eyes while I’m wearing white and he’s wearing his black Tux....I always smile and tear up a bit.
I’m so blessed and thankful to have this man in my life every day and that he is my husband. & that out of everyone else:
He chose me. And chooses me every day.
Despite our issues and my hangry days 🤣 Just wanted to share that and see what yalls special and favorite memory or even memories are from your special day.
PS:I have scheduled an anniversary shoot of us on our one year that I’m sure will help with my still slight sadness of lack of photos of just us from our wedding day. I plan on wearing my reception dress &/or possibly even a new little sparkle number while my husband will wear a nice suit and a sign prop that says “one year down, forever to go”. I’m SO excited for these and will post those as soon as we can after they’re taken along with more wedding pictures if y’all would like.
