Fall Hotel Wedding Go or No go

Maureen, on February 2, 2021 at 9:51 PM Posted in District of Columbia Planning 0 1

Hello,

I have a fall 2021 wedding planned (rebooked from fall 2020). My fiancé and I don't want a social distance wedding or a mask mandate wedding ( I understand and respect people's choice to wear one).

What are you all thinking for this being able to happen on DC this fall?

I called my venue to look at 2022 and almost all dates are already fully booked for 2022. So if we don't grab a date now we could not have one in 2022 if we have to postpone again.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Maureen! It's really hard to tell since it's still so early in the year!!

The vaccine is definitely raising everyone's hopes, but there is still a strong chance that masks may be required for large gatherings or that there are gathering limits this fall. Having an outdoor wedding will still be a big plus, and it'd be great to have a venue with a really large capacity (so you can still have a sizeable guest list even if you're still limited to like 50% capacity).

Here are a few discussions you should check out where you can connect with other brides wondering about their fall wedding plans:
