I’m getting married in Wisconsin in August. Our venue has just a few restrictions, as well as some new safety protocols in place such as hand sanitizing stations, no more than 8 guests per table, staff temperature checks, and no shared food or beverage stations. Masks are not required but welcome. They have also told us that they will be cleaning common areas often throughout the evening. We will probably fill the venue at about 60-75% capacity and dancing will be allowed so we’ll be able to have a larger dance floor. How about your venue? Are there restrictions you have to follow?

Yes I do have some restrictions too for my wedding in Wisconsin in September.

    1. The venue has a 50% capacity limit, to be honest I forget about this one. The venue when at max capacity holds 800 so only 400. This didn't apply to us since we only have 160 invited.

    2. The buffet. When guests go up to the buffet they must maintain 6 feet apart. The food will now be dished onto their plates. This is the only time that the 6 feet rule will be strictly maintained.

    3. Desserts, The desserts will now be served to the guests; we aren't sure how this is going to work since we are having cupcakes and a variety of desserts. But a bride this coming weekend is doing the same so they are going to let us know what seems to work the best.

    4. Dancing is allowed. My venue is also putting marks on their dance floor of 6 feet apart indicators. But if guests feel like dancing closer to one another they may. What I did was put that on my website and said to please respect one another's space if someone wants to dance further away.

    5. Servers will be wearing masks and gloves. Masks are not required for guests.

Getting married in Wisconsin, near Milwaukee September 5th. We meet with our venue saturday but from our talk on the phone, the health food safety people state only 100 people, but it has been increasing every month. So I have the smallest glimmer of hope that it might still happen. But I don't know any more info until Saturday. I will update then!

We are having our reception at a concert hall in Kansasville. Our wedding coordinator for the venue said that she will not be enforcing the masks. As of right now, we can have only 100 people or less. But, that could change come October.
