Hey Vanessa!! Welcome to the community! I personally haven't used this venue before so I can't say what the cost is and how they differ from a typical venue. Have you had a chance to reach out to Florham's Mansion and find out how much they charge to book the space? Once you find that out you could compare it to some of the prices mentioned in the cost guide.

Renting the venue space is free of charge for alumni, so I’m just looking for info regarding anyone who had their wedding there how much it ended up costing including the food (provided by FDU dining) and decorations etc.

Its no longer free. Its $3400. Menus start at $110+ pp not including alchohol table and chair rentals cake valet etc. A few years ago it was $2500 so it continues to go up. I rememner it was free when we went.

Hi! So we looked at FDU - Jenna is right, its not free to alumni. There is also a lot of coordinating you would have to do on your own. The caterer really only handles the catering and they can help with the cake and thats it. If you need tent/table and chair rentals you are pretty much on your own.

Not to disappoint you, but you might be better off looking elsewhere. The caterer also just completely stopped answering my emails after we met with her, which was odd.

Its now June 29, 2023 and I have more definititve answers as we also have an FDU couple hoping to marry there. "Choice of wedding dates is only summer and school breaks only."

Fee to rent the Mansion is now $3500, "You have to get one day event insurance and you need a Fire permit from the Florham Park Fire Dept. which costs $54.00 ." The menu comes from the campus caterer and starts at $139 per person. "Alcohol must be purchased separately and delivered (he suggested Main St liquors in Madison) but they will provide servers. ( which also means if you plan on a signature drink, they will may not know how to make it) We also need to provide juices mixers as well.

The menu is small compared to other wedding venues as there are not as many passed hor douerves, or stations in cocktail hour.

As far as ceremony chairs, and reception tables and chairs, "FDU does supply tables and chairs for the reception/dinner. BUT not for the ceremony. They do NOT have cocktail tables, (high-tops and lows), and those will have to be rented, as well as bars. "

My impression so far. .to host a well run, well planned, perfect wedding, you also may need to hire a wedding planner. I already have worries, extension cords, microphones, im not one to come up with the what ifs... SOME ONE SHOULD BE ON TOP OF ALL THIS with so many things to plan for one event in this one place and too many outside rentals to deal with. I will have to discuss it all with the couple to see what they prefer.
