Facebook Live streaming?

Hello friends! Has anyone had experience with live-streaming an event or their ceremony via Facebook?
We had to postpone last year and I refuse to do it again but we have a number of sick or recovering family members who are very important to us who we hope to at least be able to view our day. I’m a photographer so I have a great camera set up but I’ve never live streamed anything. I was wondering if anyone had done this and if so what they thought or recommended. Thanks 😊

My cousin did this last year. They made a private Facebook group and invited those they wanted to have access to the live stream. If you do not do it in a private group, it will be a public feed on Facebook, or so I have been told. It worked out well for them.

My FH's cousin did a Facebook live stream for her wedding last year. Her photographer was nice enough to provide her with a stand and they took care of starting the live feed on her phone through her Facebook at no cost. She didn't do a group, just streamed it for all of her friends to see. It was nice because we couldn't all go due to Maryland's limits on capacity at the time, but we got to be a part of it all and even did a family get together in small groups and had nice meals to go with it to make it feel like we were there.

My bestie used an ipad and google meet for her family in Canada who couldn't come because of border restrictions a few months ago and this worked well.

Wasn’t my idea but you’re welcome
I think she chose that for people who didn’t use social media like grandparents who could still logon-they just needed the invite code (so it was private like a zoom but free) and she just texted people a link. It worked on phones and computers.
