Okay Brides, I have reached out to 3 event planners/coordinators and some of them don’t do decor. One in particular gave me a quote of 3250 and said that I would have to get a florist to decorate. The other planner has her own decor and rentals and gave me an estimate of **** for approximately 150 people. Is that normal? That’s really expensive and I still have yet to find a venue. The ones that we toured won’t let us use our own vendors.

Hi Johcovia! Wedding planners are something that are really hard to compare pricing on, because they can offer so many different services and levels of service! Here's a helpful article that gives a few examples of common kinds of wedding planning packages: The 7 Different Types of Wedding Planners and What They Do.
For the planner who is also including decor and rentals, it depends on how much that includes! Renting chairs for example can be $7 per chair ($1050 for 150), charger plates $5 each ($750), not to mention linens, tables, and more. I'd definitely ask to a detailed breakdown and make sure that you don't pay for overlapping services that are covered by both your venue and your planner!
