Etsy Wedding Flowers - But Now Thinking Different!

Kaitlyn, on December 17, 2019 at 4:31 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 11

Just to start with, I haven't ordered anything or made any final decision.

A few months back I found this lovely arrangement package on Etsy and had been messaging the girl who makes them about different little details and stuff like that. Around $425 for basically everything I need in terms of bouquets, corsages and bouts.

But recently I've been having a lot of anxiety over getting flowers that I won't see in person until I receive them.

Going the florist route is just too dang expensive for us, and I'm really stuck on what to do.

Did anyone do Etsy and love it? Drop some shop names.

Did anyone DIY from the store (grocery store, Trader Joe's, Costco, BJ's)? How did you budget it??

Amazing budget-friendly South Florida florists???

I got this for $35 after S&H and I like it. I am going to add a few colorful flowers for a pop of color. Bouquets are not a huge deal for me so I knew I did not want to spend in the hundreds. I am satisfied with this and love the price plus it is cascading which I wanted.

Do they have a return policy? Can you order them and get your money back if you return right away? Can the shop lady send you pics of the bouquets before she sends them? That way she can tweak a few things if needed? I think this is just a classic overreaction that wedding stress causes us all to have too often lol

My thing is that I just don't know how I'm going to feel about having artificial flowers once I actually have them.

I think that's a part of her policy, and she's super nice anyway so she seems like she would keep me really updated.

It's just getting to the point where I need to decide what I want to do and I think that's why I'm flipping out.

And at first I was of the mindset of like "I want these to last forever" so that's why I was opting for artificial, but now I'm like, what the heck would we even do with them? Keep them? Sell them?

I feel like nothing would beat fresh flowers for me now.

Here is my personal opinion. If flowers are important to you then I would spend the money and go to a florist. I know you do not want to spend the money but if you're that nervous then I would. I do not want to take a chance for photography so I am willing to splurge and get someone of quality that I know will do a great job and provide what I want. I knew I wanted a cascade bouquet but it was not that important to me that when it arrived I did not absolutely love it. I did not want to spend a lot of money in that portion of a wedding. My dress was important, my venue will be important and photography will. Food for my post ceremony, my honeymoon, bouquet are not things that I feel that strong about if not perfect ya know? Your best bet is to read reviews and pics of others but it sounds like you are too scared to take a chance for online. Can you sit down with the FH and decide where to pull from the budget in other areas? I feel each bride is most adamant with some parts of the wedding and if the floral aspect is yours then you should have what you want.

Yes I totally understand!! The thing with real flowers is that you can't see them ahead of time either. It doesn't really solve the anxiety about not knowing what you're getting until you get it. Whatever you choose, your day will be exactly how it is supposed to be. Good luck!

I got mine from Something Borrowed Blooms (online rental for fake flowers) and they have GREAT reviews!

I got mine from LilyOfAngeles on Etsy! She is amazing to work with, I think I messaged back and forth with her 60+ times with questions and she responds to quickly.

It is more to customize, but she has set arrangements in tons of colors schemes that I am sure you can find one that matches! Etsy Wedding Flowers - But Now Thinking Different! 2Etsy Wedding Flowers - But Now Thinking Different! 3

I got mine from Etsy. StellaDesignsShop. (sola wood flower bouquet) she keeps in touch throughout the process to know exactly what you want and she sends a preview of the bouquet and then will make changes if you want/need.

I'm considering these (artificial) from DressMyWedding on Etsy. They are so beautiful, and were recommended by another bride here on WW.
