Nice to have-- we didn't have one and our families are spread across to the country. There'll be events the weekend before and week of our wedding. None are mandatory-- we understand our guests have lives and responsibilities. We're getting married in my hometown!

Nice to have but I didn’t want one. My parents and BFF from OT school offered but I just didn’t have the energy or time for it.

Nice to have! we didn’t have one since most of our family and friends live far away and couldn’t have been there. it’ll be the ultimate celebration on the day of!

I say nice to have. Parties are expensive and alot of people are already going to be celebrating you at your wedding and showers. We did not have an engagement party and we're just fine.
