Eloping to Pigeon Forge/ Gatlinburg

Kim, on March 31, 2019 at 5:46 PM Posted in Tennessee Planning 0 10
Ok we have decided that we are eloping to Pigeon Forge/ Gatlinburg August 2020. It will be us and probably no more than 10 to 15 people. We want something outdoors preferably but may consider inside. Nothing with a outrageous price. Only need the ceremony and photos. We want to spend our money on the honeymoon. If anyone can suggest a nice cabin rental it would be appreciated also. Thank you ladies and congratulations and best wishes to your upcoming weddings.

I wouldn’t recommend outdoors in August there. I’ve been before for university retreats and it can get super hot and humid in August. I recommend looking at options on Airbnb.

    Hi there Kim Smiley smile

Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are both beautiful locations for a destination wedding!!

Have you checked out the WeddingWire venue search? You may find a venue you love there!

    Gatlinburg Wedding Venues

    Pigeon Forge Wedding Venues

You can filter these selections down further by type of venue, setting (indoor or outdoor), amenities, etc.

If you're looking to rent a private cabin where you could have the wedding, as opposed to a venue, I would recommend you check out Airbnb.

How did you and your FS decide on Tennessee for your destination wedding?

We looked at the Little Log Cabin Chapel in Gatlinburg. Also, if you are willing to move it somewhere else, The Wedding Chapel on the Mountain in Huntsville Alabama has a great outdoor space for the ceremony. They offer small elopement packages as well.

Hey! We are doing basically the same thing just in October of this year. It’s just my fiancé and I, though, no guests. We found a cabin on Vrbo.com. found a photographer who was allowed to shoot in the Smoky Mountains, and a minister who agreed to meet us in Cades Cove. Lmk if you want any of the contact info for the vendors I’m working with or have any questions!

OMG! I love gatlinburg this is where my yearly vacation is and where I am getting married. I highly recommend the hidden valley resort https://www.cabinsofthesmokymountains.com/ They are super awesome and accommodating and have a smaller little wedding area they rent out and is actually free to people staying in their cabins. Its perfect for something that small and then all you would need is to get a photographer!

We just eloped in Gatlinburg, TN on April 13, 2019, in the Smokey Mountains, it was beautiful! I'll attach some photos below. It was very well priced and Eric from New Beginnings Photography did an amazing job on our photos. We are not people that like our photos were taken and he just made us come alive. He was super nice and friendly, and easy to contact. I highly recommend him. He made it a breeze, and for my anxiety filled mind that is saying something. He has a variety of locations you can choose from. We went with Ely's Mills. Cost includes photographer, location, and minister.

For cabins> we've had a different cabin & company each time we got to the Gatlinburg area. It really depends on what you are looking for. I normally just Google and search to see what looks the most comfortable for the price range your looking for. Haven't had any bad experiences. Everyone is so nice down there.

We are getting married there in October at "Chapel At The Park", then having the reception at "Park Vista". They taking care of everything and I cannot wait! Though I am nervous. We are doing "Elk Springs" for the honeymoon but Chapel at the park has cabins they use as well.

I just got married there last week (we eloped)! Actually in the Smoky Mountain National Park. I really like the officiant and photographer we used, too. We had a blast on our wedding day!

We just found a cabin on VRBO that was about 15 minutes away from Gatlinburg. It was a lot of fun!
