Elopement/ private ceremony photography

Angela, on October 13, 2021 at 4:59 PM Posted in New York Planning 0 3
What is everyone paying for elopement/ private ceremony photography? I've talked to a few and they have hourly rates for elopements. Is 2 hrs enough for just a ceremony and photos? Should I plan for 3? Is $350 a hr a good price? We aren't having a reception and planning on getting married in westchester/putnam/dutchess county area.

Hi Angela! Pricing is going to have a really wide range for elopement photography!! You should be able to get a good price if you only need 2 or 3 hours of coverage, but some photographers might still price themselves really high based on their limited availability!

I think $350 an hour is a good price, and how many hours you'll need will depend on how many pictures you want and how long your ceremony is! I'd make a list of all the posed and family pictures you want to start getting an idea of how big your shot list is.
