I’m looking at wearing my moms dress but it needs MAJOR updating; anyone have any ideas on how to find a trustworthy seamstress?

I had my dress and veil custom made and found my seamstress on Yelp. I just approached finding this vendor like any other vendor and reviewed her work and reviews before hiring her.

I just googled "wedding dress alterations in my area" or "seamstress in my area" to find a seamstress and chose the one with the best reviews.

I needed major alterations as well and made sure to look for someone who designed and made dresses as well as doing alterations. I figured if they could make a dress from scratch so they could do any alterations.
