Dress size??

It all depends where you are ordering from. Wedding dresses typically run small so you would order 2-3 sizes up. I am size 8 and my dress was size 14.

Check to see if the site has a size guide that you can compare your measurements to. It's much easier to take in than let out, so go with your biggest measurement. There really is SO much variation in sizing that you could be a 10 with one designer and a 16 with another.

Sizing can vary amongst all the different designers, so that can get tricky. Check if the website has a size guide and order the size that is slightly above the numbers for your bust, waist, and hips.

Also make sure the online site is reputable. There are overseas companies who often do cheap spinoffs of designer fashions. If the website does not provide sizing, it may not be a good site to purchase stuff.

My jeans are typically size 4-6 and I think my dress was a size 8. It really just depends on the designer.

You can definitely go into a store and get measurements done/try on dresses to see your size. I'm a 9 in pants, but my dress size is 8. Depends on the designer as well.

Your best bet is to get a tape measure and check the measurements to that of the dress' measurements. There are some really nice digital ones for like $15 online.

First, have someone measure you - bust, waist, hip, sleeve length. Next, don't expect wedding dresses to size like street dresses - they can often vary up to 2 sizes larger, so if you're ordering online, check the site's size chart first. No one will know the dress size unless you plan to wear your dress inside out! I already made that mistake and had to order a larger size dress. I can't return the original dress but happily, it didn't cost much and I can use the original dress to add hems or ruffles if I want.
