Dress preservation

Indya, on September 13, 2021 at 1:38 PM Posted in Maryland Planning 0 9
What’s a good company to use to clean and preserve my wedding dress? I am in the Maryland/DC area. Is it even worth it?

Following bc I've got the same question, except I'm on the west coast.

I've read about a company in Ohio. . .sorry I don't remember their name, but found them on the Knot via a Google search.

David’s Bridal offers dress preservation kits. I don’t know the process in whole but I’m planning on doing it after my wedding.

Daughter called around and talked with various dry cleaners in her area. She chose one that had good reviews for dress preservation/packing for a price that compared well with other options. I think she paid about $150. She'd read mixed reviews about the prepaid service through David's (and she hadn't bought her dress at David's) and her salon's recommendation was really expensive.

I did mine through David’s Bridal and I am completely happy with the results. I think in all it ended up being about $200. I have attached a picture below of how it turned out. Good Luck.Dress preservation 1

So I'm not sure about that area, but the bridal boutique that I got my dress from offers to do them and all I had to do was bring my gown back in which made my life way easier. I would check and see if your bridal boutique does them!

Try some cleaners in the area as well. Sometimes they do them.
