Dress pick up or leave at the store???

So I got notified that my dress has finally arrived today!!!!! How exiting right lol. I was given 2 options..


Option A-leave the dress in their storage until the store reopens (June 10) and we are able to start alterations.
Option B- schedule a time to pick up the dress and return once store opens to start alterations.
In both options I have to pay for the remainder of the dress balance (50% left) right now.
What would you choose?
In a way I want to pick it up because I want to make sure that I’m making the final payment for the actual dress that I chose and not a dress they mistakenly ordered (I’ve seen stories). But then I don’t want to keep the dress in my closet where my FH can possibly get curious and take a look.
Advise please !!!

    I would pick it up ! but that's also because i know the likelihood of me trying it on and looking at it a lot is high aha

    Are they able to send you a confirmation photo? I didn’t even think about a possible mix-up 😬 I’m in a similar boat: option A arrive alone and masked to pickup dress or B leave in their care until appointments can resume. I’m opting to wait. My boutique waved the storage fee, I hope yours did too!

    I would pick it up. I had mine for over a year and my husband never peeked. He wanted to see it on me when I walked down the aisle but other than that he’s not that excited about clothes.

    The Alfred Angelo bridal salon chain went out of business right after daughter got engaged and a lot of brides couldn't get access to their dresses. After seeing that, when the time came, daughter wanted to pick up her dress the second it arrived at her salon even if she needed to store it for a year.... With all the other craziness in the world right now, I'd pick it up! Congrats! Smiley heart

    I would pick it up. 100%. I honestly don't think most men would peek at a dress in a hanger. Too much could go wrong if the dress sits in the store with a bunch of other dresses

    It depends on FH. My FH does not want to see my dress not the dresses I didn’t pick so that he is completely surprised. However I did see a wedding show where FH did look at the dress despite the bride’s request. 🤷‍♀️

    Definitely pick it up. Like Willow said in previous comment, there is so much that can go wrong like when those bridal stores went bankrupt a while back and brides were left without paid for dresses. Plus, you’d have it home so you can experiment with matching accessories and stuff (when fiancé isn’t around of course). Make sure to keep it hanging in a dry place.

    I would pick it up because I'd look at it every day as a pick me up during these weird times! And the idea to try out different accessories is great, too!
