Dress help..

Kimberly, on December 30, 2017 at 9:54 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 47

So, I bought a dress way back in August right after getting engaged and I developed some dress regret. Since, I've had it altered and my heart keeps going back to it. However, I also can't stop thinking about a different, much more simple dress. I'm consider wearing my big, original, ornate dress for my ceremony and first look since it suits the location more, then the more simple dress for the reception (different location) as sometimes I feel like the first dress is just.. too much. The second dress really is quite cheap at $350 with discounts. I just worry that my first dress is either too much or I'll regret not wearing it the whole day because I was afraid to be "too ornate" or "too much"PhotosSmiley surprise riginal dress without alterations Original dress with sleeves addedSecond dress in consideration https://imgur.com/uujv0qi

Just a heads up we can't see the pictures. I think if you can afford the second dress and you won't have dress regret then go for it! You also have a bit of time if the second dress doesn't need to be altered Smiley smile

I think everyone goes thru that. I would say just keep your dress on all day. It's your day.

Original altered is my favorite. I would keep it for reception too but if the second one is not too pricey go for it.

I would wear the original dress all day. It’s gorgeous and when again will you have the opportunity to wear a gown like that?

You get to wear this dress for one day. Why change. Honestly, dress two isn’t much less large than dress one. It won’t be any easier to wear or get around in and dress one is much prettier.

I like the second one slightly better than the first one, but they are both gorgeous! And I am just not a huge fan of lace lol

Agree with Melissa and Becca, the dresses seem very similar. And the one you bought is gorgeous. I'd stick with it.

Also agree that the second dress looks much like the first dress, just more plain. You get to shine in it for one day, why change out of such a beautiful gown?

I love your original dress! The second one looks too much like the first to me to justify getting it.

OG dress is gorge, I'd want to wear it as long as possible. Is it comfortable to move/ dance in all night? :+)

I love your original dress. I would just stick with that one unless it is heavy and uncomfortable.

The altered original is breathtaking. I don't think it's too much or too ornate at all. It's gorgeous!

I love the first dress and it’s beautiful altered! Especially with the changes you made. This is your only wedding day I personally wouldn’t want to take it off and I don’t think anyone with think you are “too much” in your wedding dress on your wedding day. You can’t go wrong!
