Hi Ladies!

Happy New Year!

I'm getting married on 10/2/21 (delayed due to Covid). My dress arrived last summer and now I want to start looking for a Seamstress. My bridal shop is about a 45 minute drive so they will be my last resort to do the alterations.

Does anyone know of a reputable and reliable seamstress near Lawrenceville, GA?

I would look on both yelp and google if you haven't already. You can also check with bridal shops in your area, I know David's Bridal has now started doing alterations on dresses that weren't purchased there. Goodluck!

Thanks, I was looking for referrals from brides who have worked with a seamstress before. I've been searching online as well. David's Bridal has mixed reviews when it comes to alterations.

Sue Kim alterations attached to Carries bridal was soooo amazing and has over 20 years experience in bridal. She does all the alterations for Carrie’s bridal but I bought my dress from a different state and she still did mine even though I hadn’t purchased it from carries. She did an AMAZING french bustle on my very complicated dress lol!

It’s in Chamblee, if you search for Carrie’s bridal she’s in the same building as their store. It was about an hour drive from where I’m located but very worth it and I went once for my fitting then a second time to pick it up. It was perfect and didn’t need any additional work after the first time!
