Dress alterations in southeast Wisconsin

Hey fellow brides! I have about 4 months until my wedding, and we are super excited! I have my dress and it’s time for me to get alterations done. I got my dress from a boutique in Milwaukee and was hoping to get some recommendations on some good places in southeast Wisconsin to take my dress. Any suggestions?

    Not sure where exactly you’re located but Lyn’s Needle and Thread in Silver Lake, WI is fantastic. I bought my dress off the rack and it needed to be taken in 3 sizes, sleeves shortened, and hemmed and they did a phenomenal job.

    Have you asked the boutique for recommendations? They may know of someone in South-East Wisconsin who would do a great job on your dress.

    I would also recommend you utilize Yelp in your search. You can find some great, highly recommended seamstresses in the area on the site.

    Do you have a lot of work to get done on the dress?

    Following this thread! I got my dress from Eva's but I have heard their alterations run a bit steep. Depending on where you are, I have heard good things about Sewing by Suzie in Oak Creek.
