Dream venue in Michigan

Laura, on May 13, 2019 at 7:08 PM Posted in Michigan Planning 0 48

If money was no object, what would be your dream venue in Michigan?

The venue i'm trying to get is actually my dream one, it's the community center my fiancee and I actually met at back in 1985. If I had a huge budget i'd be hiring everything out, drinks/bartending, catering (which I may still do) as well as having people come in and do the decorating/set-up/cleaning at the end of the night.

What would you do?

We have our dream venue, the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park on Lake Superior. Outdoors was always our go to and we love the UP, plus the Porcupine Mts offer everything we love; mountains, waterfalls, thick forests, and the best Great Lake.

I wouldn't say we particularly had a place in mind as much as a feeling for our dream wedding. I wanted whimsical secret garden feel. We found a venue that over looks the Clinton river in Mt. Clemens MI named Riverhouse. We will have both an indoor and outdoor dance floor as well as bar. We will also have the whole place to ourselves for the night.

I actually secured our dream venue at The Rust Belt Market in Ferndale! It is NOT traditional which pretty much sums up my relationship with my Fiance. I wanted something different that was industrial, but soft, rustic and charming. The Rust Belt has sooooo much character and our relationship encompasses what I love the most...we want to celebrate LOVE and our love that we worked our asses off to keep for 12 years! We're getting married on the anniversary of the day we met now Smiley smile

My dream venue would be on a beach in the Dominican Republic. I'd wear a beautiful white summer dress and sandals. My love and I, a minister and the beach. Sigh... Sounds perfect!

A greenhouse with vines or moss covering the entire interior with a huge outdoor garden and water landscaping everywhere and at night lights everywhere. Also no time limit of when the party has to end and being able to rent it for the weekend for not a ridiculous price. Not being required to use their catering or bar tending but having the option to. I am polish and the best wedding I was at was in Poland, it was my cousins. The reception, It started from 5 and went on until 7 am and there were drunk people sleeping on the floor and people still dancing! It was crazy and fun. They also had a live band. Food all night long on the tables as well. Being to one of those an American reception really sucks!

Planterra in Royal Oak, Mi is stunning (based off of pictures). I wanted a garden feeling wedding and this was my first choice but due to budget concerns had to consider other options. It's a gorgeous site, I still daydream about it.
