I personally think that it expensive for a DJ. A family friend will be doing my wedding so we got a really good deal but I honestly wouldn't pay over $1000 for a DJ. But that is me personally

I checked the wedding DJ cost guide and it actually did show that the average was $1800 but I guess it depends on exactly what you for in a DJ.

Before i was a covid bride, I found it difficult to find a DJ who was willing to play the entire night for anything less than $2000

I’m paying $1,750 for our DJ.

My DJ is great but I ended up having to cancel our contract since we couldn't have a dance floor. He offered us our nonrefundable deposit back. I got him for 5 hours for $700. My sister had him for her wedding a few years back and he was great to work with. Let me know if you want his info.
