What is a good estimate for a dj ceremony and reception? Our wedding will be in AZ.

Prices can depend greatly on your location, what packages the DJ offers, extras and add-ons.

For our DJ, it's $1590. He'll be there the whole time 3:30pm-10:30pm. The package we chose includes up lighting, custom monogram that will show on his DJ booth, clip on mic for ceremony, wireless mic for toasts, and a few more things! We had found some cheaper DJs but after doing all of our research and comparing a few that we liked, we went with the one we chose because he had more to offer with the package we chose, plus he doesn't require us to do monthly payments. As long as we pay 2 weeks before our wedding, we're fine! He's also highly recommended by our venue, and has amazing reviews. His social media is always being updated, so it was nice for us to view videos of real weddings he's done to get a feel of his style!

I suggest looking through vendors in your area on The Knot or here on Wedding Wire! They have several options, and you can search through price point as well!

As Shelly said, it will depend on where you or your DJ is located. We hired a DJ from a small town that was not terribly far from our venue. We only paid $700 for 6 hours, including lighting.

Totally agree with Shelly! Our venue has an all inclusive package & the DJ is included in the price.

Like Shelly mentioned, it completely depends on location and the DJ's experience. My family is Caribbean and we definitely had to have a DJ who knows Caribbean music, which seemed to be hard to find where I live in Virginia. We ended up hiring a DJ from New York who DJed at our friends' wedding. We're paying $2000 for 6 hours, uplighting, monogram, mics, and travel.
