diy wedding makeup

Hi!
I have decided that since I want to save money and be more efficient on my wedding day (plus I can use products that will work well with my skin and all that), I want to do my own wedding makeup. This is the look I'm going for:

What products and shades do you recommend for a similar look? Preferably budget friendly

How much makeup do you currently own? I'd price out the pros/cons of having it professionally done. If you have to purchase all of what that photos shows, it might be more expensive than just getting it done. What are your skills like with makeup? You'll need to pick a higher quality of makeup that works well with photography. It's a beautiful look!

One thing the makeup artist will often do is make more a dramatic look for you. The purpose is partly for your appearance around your fiancé and guests but will even more be designed to show up a bit clearer in the photography -- while also avoiding bright spots that some makeup will create under camera lighting.

I agree with Jacks. If you have to purchase all the makeup that goes into this look, it will likely cost as much, or more, than just hiring a professional makeup artist.
Just from looking at this photo, you would need: primer, concealer, foundation, powder, blush, highlighter, lip color, false lashes, eyelash glue, eye liner, eye shadow, mascara, brow wax, brow color, setting spray.

I love the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush. It's about $20, and I think that the colors that you'd want to look at are Grace, Happy, or Lucky. They're more saturated than the other pinks that are available, so they'll be more likely to show up, but they may not be right depending on your skin tone. I like it because it's easy to blend, but it doesn't last all day for me, so you might need to touch it up some time during the day. I'm no expert, so I can't tell whether it's a matte or a satin lipstick, but if you're looking for a satin finish, I like the feel of the Revlon Super Lustrous lip stick which I think was $8? I don't have a personal recommendation for eye shadow, but I've seen good reviews for NYX palettes online. I know you can get mini-sized/travel-sized versions of setting spray, setting powder, and primer for around $20 or less, so I think that's pretty affordable as well. It does all add up, so if you don't already have at least some of what you need, it could end up being more expensive than hiring a make-up artist as PPs have mentioned.

If you don't wear make-up a lot, see if you can find a tutorial online. You should also practice beforehand, that way you can see how long it takes and take some pictures to see if it lasts all day. Then on the day, I recommend giving yourself like twice as much time as you think you'll need, that way you won't feel rushed.

Have you thought about having a makeup trial/makeup lesson with your cosmetics to learn the dos and don'ts so you will be able to do your makeup on your big day?
