diy Dance Floor

What is your existing floor surface? Carpet, grass, concrete, etc? We didn’t DIY the dance floor, nor has any couple at a previous wedding or anniversary party and there were no issues with guests dancing successfully on whatever surface is already there. Most common we have seen, including what was at the venue we picked, was concrete. Some people say it’s impossible to dance on but we didn’t have any issues and have never seen anyone else have problems. Save your money (and time/sanity) and use what is already there.

If needed, I would request a professional rental place just for the liability issues. I've personally never had a problem dancing on grass at informal parties. So I guess the question indeed is what are your current options and how formal is your wedding?>
