diy Bridesmaid robes!

Cassi, on October 25, 2019 at 12:45 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 2 9
So I posted about thwae robes I made for my girls before my wedding and I told a lot of people that I would get them the pattern. I'm working on the blog post about the pattern and the steps so I will update this post soon with the link for that BUT I just wanted to show you how cute they actually were!
In total I mad 6 robes. 5 for my girls and one for me. Mine was shades of gray with white and theirs were navy(almost looks black) and white. Check how cute these actually came out! They can be worn without leggings but we were in the mountains and it was 50 degrees so we all wore black leggings lol

I was just finishing up the blog post today and adding some pictures so I should have the link posted soon. If you know how to sew this is definitely one of the easier projects I have take over, just a tad time consuming if you are making a lot. I made 6 and I worked on it over the course of 3 days to have them all finished. In total probably 9-10 hours of labor including cutting, pinning and sewing. If you don't sew its still an easy project (definitely on the beginner level) but could be more challenging.

I think the hardest thing was picking the fabric to do it in. I kid you not I bought at least 8 different plaid flannel fabrics until i decided on which ones I wanted to use! I plan on using all the others to make holiday jammies for my husband, our son and I! I can't wait to share this pattern with everyone!

They went over so well with my girls! I also didn't do any personalizations (i.e. bridesmaid or maid of honor) so hopefully they will wear them again whenever they need a robe. My mom wants one now too!

The amount varies depending on your finished dimensions but I put how much I purchased in total for the amount I made.
