What did all are you doing to cut cost and save money?! I’m planning on doing decor and flowers in my own, and I have a cricut, so hoping I can find something I can do with it! I haven’t decided if a wedding planner is worth the cost or not. It may help to note we are getting married in south florida where were from and we live in Colorado. Any tips/tricks/advice!

How are you planning to transport all your DIY to Florida, and who will hang on to it all until you get there? A wedding planner may not be necessary if you have good resources in Florida to help you, but I am a huge supporter of a Day Of Coordinator.

As for the cutting costs, doing the table decor and floral yourself will definitely help. Getting your cake from a local grocery store or Costco can help. Don't waste money on personalized napkins or fancy favors - neither will be missed by your guests. Your cricut can be used to make your table numbers.

Pat has some great ideas! Costco and Sam's Club both offer bulk flowers/greenery, and they can be delivered directly to the Florida address so you don't have to worry about transporting them.

Our entire family live in Florida so there’s no issues there, and we will be driving down in my fiancé big truck so plenty of space for all the diy things. Thanks so much for all the advice!! I’ll definitely be looking Into costco and Sam’s for flowers!

We DIY'd our favors (a selection of homemade cookies in a personalized bag from Etsy) and all of our signs, table numbers, and card box. We painted them by hand but your Cricket could definitely come in handy for this type of thing. We also bought some of our decor items on Amazon to save money (the table runners, votive candles, and lanterns):

I DIYed my invitations with my silhouette. I absolutely regret that decision because it was stressful. I'm kind of DIYing some gifts, like personalized wine tumblers and I made tote bags for the wedding party.
