Disneyland Honeymoon

Staci, on September 20, 2013 at 6:50 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 11

I wanted my wedding to be at Disneyland but it is far too expensive so I am making my own enchanted fairy tale wedding. Has anyone gone to Disneyland for a Honeymoon or is anyone planning on going? How much does it cost? Is it reasonable to save up for within a year?

They actually have some good deals. We're going on a Disney Cruise for $1,500.

Easily doable in a year. You'll want to package everything (park tickets and hotel rooms) to get more bang for your buck. I would recommend the Grand Californian because you get an extra hour in the park if you stay at the hotel and they have their own private entrance. Be aware that it's going to be more expensive than your average hotel.

Hotel room can be anywhere from 250-400 a night and park tickets are going to cost upwards of 200 depending on how many nights you are staying. If you are going to go right after your wedding, just be aware that that is in the middle of peak season and the park will be more crowded as well as thte room rates will be more expensive.

I think it's definitely easy to save up for within a year. The Disneyland hotels are a little pricier, but worth the splurge for your honeymoon. The parks can be a tad crowded especially in summer so I would recommend trying to find some romantic things to do in the area that are more secluded. You will have a great time. Disney parks are an amazing place to visit. Smiley smile

Include your food if possible. I know Walt Disney World has food/hotel/ticket packages that include EVERYTHING!

We went to Disney World for a vacation in 2012. Four days/nights stayed at one of the Disney hotels so we had transportation to and from all parks for free, flew in Monday left Friday and spent $2500. That includes flight, food package (DO THIS, then you don't worry about prices, it's just all on there), hotel, park tickets with park hopper.

Disney however is NOT relaxing, it's a TON of walking. That said, we had an AMAZING time but we may have slept in different beds most of the nights because we were so exhausted at the end of the day.

We are not looking for it to be relaxing. We are both big children at heart. We can easily find ways to relax at home lol. We want to have fun and explore while we still can. We are looking into Disneyland because we live on the west coast and we can save money by driving instead of flying. Does Disneyland do the dining packages? Also I know it will be packed. I have been there in the summer before as a kid. Crowds don't bother us. We tune them out quite well.

I have never known Disney to do the dining packages like WDW. However, there are some amazing restaurants there! If you can afford it, the Grand California Hotel is amazing. The Disneyland Hotel is a little cheaper and nice as well. You will have a great time! We have been 5 or 6 times and love it,

We're going on a Disney cruise, and booked thru my HS slum event, and just upgraded our room, per person was about 650. But it is only for 3 nights. Then we're going to Universal Studios. Good luck

Last year I booked a nine-night stay at a Disney World hotel that included the flight from Canada, hotel, park passes, transportation, passes to Universal and Seaworld AND our food for only 1300. It's definitely do-able. But I am not sure how Disney Land compares.

My Fiance and I are doing a Disneyland Honeymoon around the same time you are. The onsite hotels in July run from $330 - $510 a night, and a 5 day park hopper is $300. Depending on what your priorities are, you could easily save up in a year. We're budgeting around $4,000 just because we want to splurge on staying onsite and go to the nicest restaurants without worrying about money. But we went last May and stayed for 5 days and four nights and all told we spent $2,000. The offsite hotels are huge money savers, I've seen July rates from around $110 a night.

So I looked at pricing for Disneyland and have decided it is do-able. My only concern now is how soon should I book the hotel and what not? I am not sure how fast they fill up for July. Kelsie have you booked yours already?
