I honestly just feel so dumb right now. I have only been to one wedding over 20 years ago in my mom’s backyard for a little background on how much I know about weddings. I fell in love with this dress, bought it, getting it altered as we speak. Wedding is February 3rd. And after reading in forums I am just now realizing this mesh is supposed to be an illusion and match my skin tone. I just feel so defeated left and right with no guidance and doing this on my own.Disillusioned Mesh 1

    I would think just adding a bolero would help some. The illusion is rarely offered in a range of skin tones but could sometimes be dyed, but that would probably not be possible now. Do you have a veil with this dress?

    More people may be around next week that may be more helpful.

    A bolero would be a great idea! I think an off the shoulder one with pearls on it would really compliment the dress

    In theory, yes, but usually mesh colors only come in 1-3 color options—hardly an exact match for most skin tones! Don’t worry about it, the sheerness of the look is what the dress is going for. ♥️

    It all worked out somehow I ended up finding a cape veil on amazon that hid the parts I was so self conscious about and it just tied the whole look together. It all looks better once you put all the details on. Disillusioned Mesh 2
