Dinner4two Scam?

Bryan, on August 9, 2017 at 4:01 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 28

My fiancee got a call from Dinner4two about a free hot pad set, engraved champagne glasses and a 4 day all expenses paid honeymoon.

Has anybody had any experiences with this? I have found reviews from a few years ago but nothing that is recent. I am mainly looking for reviews from people who have gone on their free trips. My fiancee is completely hooked by these people but I think they are full of it and just want to hard sell overpriced cookware. On top of that it looks like they want me to pay $100 in shipping for everything.

Please let me know about your experience with this company.

They wouldn't let me pick up anything without my FH. I think they're full of it! Wasn't worth my time, IMHO. Plus they gave me the creeps!!

I went to one of these this year. They require you sit through a cooking demonstration and try to sell you VERY over priced cookware. they give you " gifts" for attending. We got the 2 nights at an all inclusive IF you pay the taxes of $39 a night per person. We laughed about and left. Waste of time.

They wouldn't let me pick up anything without my FH and wanted me to spend 9 hours in a cooking demonstration.

@Katie 9 hours? sheesh ours was an hour. They only let couples go to the demonstration. Like a timeshare seminar

It's a hard sell marketing technique. Skip it.

Most people need a 10 inch saute pan, a big pot and possibly a chicken fryer, all with lids. I have a mix of circulon, Le Crueset and a cast iron 12 inch skillet and that is really all you need.

    And wine glasses, lol!

YES!! I went last week from a bridal show. You sit and watch them make a meal and you get all the free stuff. For the hotel stay you have to pay like $40 a night for terms and conditions. The champagne flutes are 20 dollars for shipping. And if you get the two free rings like I did it is $50 for shipping but the rings are originally 300 each.

Then at the end they try to get you to buy the product. We were soooo close to doing the payment plan because the cookware is beyond amazing. But we decided it was not worth it at this point.

    anyways, YES TOTALLY LEGIT

@Paige - you just said none of it was free so how is that legit?

If I still have to pay taxes or shipping, it's not free.

I realize that paying shipping means in total it isnt free. Im not an idiot. The rings though were free and same with the champagne flutes. Then you pay shipping. That is not free. But it is an amazing price for what they are actually worth. Buttttt the rings are usually 300 dollars and you get that zeroed out and just pay 50. And they have a lifetime warranty. Yes please! We ordered them. And the cookware is a bunch of stuff 50 year warranty and it's amazing. But anyways the perks for going was worth it and I enjoyed the presentation. Plus it was fun to enjoy with my FH! And you don't have to do anything. You can just go and watch. And we were allowed to bring a couple with us so my friends came too. They didn't buy anything at all or even care about the perks. They still had fun.

All I'm saying is it isn't a scam and you don't have to pay anything.

50-year warranty? That presumes the company will be in business another 50 years, never mind five.

Hey. I was googling this company and found your comment here. Did you enjoy the honeymoon? $40 a night isn’t bad.

I was very skeptical about going to this because the reviews are 50/50. The guy who did our presentation was great. he did not pressure anyone into buying the cookware, although it does look very nice. We left with our vacation vouchers, wedding band vouchers, and coupon for the champagne flutes. I think its worth it if you're looking to save some money on those items.

I went to one of those demonstration. The guy was really great kept me awake with his jokes and the chicken wasn't bad at all. I've been to a lot of store and the prices for the glasses aren't bad at all. Especially since you don't have to go looking for a place to engrave them. Haven't received my rings yet we got them as a filler. I'll let you know how they are when I get them. S/h are a part of life when you're not going to a store. Let's get real.It was totally worth it.We didn't have to purchase those overpriced pots and pans. We would rather spend that money on our real honeymoon. Because the 2or3 days they gave us with the money you have to spend up front 😒😕😒😕😒😒!!! But to each his/her own
