Destination wedding vs. flower preservation

Katie, on March 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 2
Hi all! I’m having a destination wedding in July, and I’ll be in Costa Rica for a week after our wedding for our honeymoon. I really really want to be able to bring back/preserve pieces of my bouquet to bring back home with me. (I already researched... as long as the plants aren’t “living” with roots, it’s okay) but I’m having a hard time coming up with ideas on how to get the florals back. I’m thinking about bringing a book and pressing the flowers. But does anyone else have any ideas on what to do?

If you have enough room, you could bring twine and a box and hang them in your room, and then put them in the box to bring home. That all depends on the size of your bouquet and luggage room though.

I think pressing them in a book is a perfect idea!! You could tie the book shut as well to keep things extra secure, and make sure to start drying them right after your wedding!
