Delicious and Curvalicious! Show Off Your Fit n Flare Gowns!

I’ll start us off! I got my gown at a sample sale last year for 85% off the original purchase price. I fell in love with it when it was featured on the salon’s Instagram story leading up to the sale. I knew I had to have it. It’s a Sophia Tolli gown with lace appliqués, a jeweled v-neck, and a gorgeous low back (that I’ll have changed to a nude illusion once I start alterations). I love it!



My runner up dress was also a fit n flare. I actually am going to talk to my seamstress to see if she can do something similar to the back of the runner up with my dress.

That is GORGEOUS. I love the lace!!!



I need to get some shots from my fittings, and the next one it should all be coming together. I can hardly wait!

Yes! I got discouraged for a bit because of the top, but I got it working with them finally. I'm not 1000% pleased with David's Bridal alterations, so my FH told me I need to stand up for myself and get some pictures lol. Otherwise I'm just going to have to make my mom wait. Fittings on my own are really hard, I must admit. I'll be glad to get it all sorted.

That definitely sounds frustrating. I know it's hard to be vocal when we feel like we're coming across as "demanding". Just remember that they're there to make sure your dress fits the way you want it! And if you're not pleased with the way they're handling alterations, maybe look to other seamstresses? I know no matter what it'll look flawless on you!

Sigh sooooooooo disappointed you made this post as I originally wanted a mermaid or trumpet and then opted against it. I love it but I worry about looking like a stuffed sausage lol. I have hips for days and if I gain weight that is where it goes first. Plus not sure how to manage it with a diabetic pump and I do not want to do alterations if I can help it.

Aww, Kristen! I totally hear those obstacles in making you feel like your best self in your dress. I bet you would have been gorgeous in a fitted gown! However, I know you're going to look gorgeous in the dress you chose! Do you have pictures for us so we can see?

What dress shape do you have, Tina? Looking at your wedding date, you're probably in final fittings, if not already done! I had actually never heard of Sophia Tolli until I found this dress, but I'm following her now on Instagram and her dresses are all really flattering!

Yes here is the dress as of now. I say as of now because I am doing dress shopping Wednesday and going back to David's bridal to possibly exchange end of March. I have dress regret although I love this dress too lol. I want all the dresses. I think I am going to stick with A line as it is flattering and easier on the hips plus I do love. I love your dress btw.

Kristen! It's gorgeous on you! That beading is amazing. When you go back, promise you'll try on at least one fitted gown? I bet your body would be rockin' something fitted! (Though if you're totally not into, do what makes YOU feel beautiful and comfortable!) If you do try one on...please share!
