Debate over honeymoon.

Why does he want Alaska specifically? Just because it's not hot, or has he always wanted to go. Could take 2 mini vacations if it's in your budget.

See if you guys can write down and make a list of "want to dos" for the honeymoon. Drinks. Child free. All inclusive. Good food. Adventures. Sit on a beach. Do nothing.
I love a good beach vacation, I also want to go to Alaska. We are hoping to go out of country, hopefully Europe.

Are you planning to go on your honeymoon right after the wedding? Your wedding date is listed as July, and Alaska isn't usually freezing that time of the year (it's actually probably the best time of the year to go). If temperature is your fiancé's only hang-up, there's not a lot of places in July that aren't going to be at least a little warm, but maybe there's somewhere with a beach that won't be as hot? You could also consider doing Alaska as an anniversary trip.

I agree that it's a good idea to sit down together and come up with a list of things you both absolutely want to do while you're on your honeymoon.

It seems like your preference is too hot for him and his preference is too cold for you, so maybe somewhere in the middle? Since you’re getting married in July, I think the states around the Great Lakes or Canada has more moderate summer temperatures than other regions. They also have beaches on the water, so you could rent a lake house and relax in the beach (for you) while taking in pretty scenery (for him).

I like Paige’s idea. Do one as a honeymoon after the wedding & agree to do the other trip as a 1-yr or 2-3 yr anniversary trip. You could make something cute/silly about it on both options… if you do the beach, agree to have a night where you do a romantic dinner inside with a lake scene on the TV & you arrange his favorite drink or scotch or whatever he likes, favorite foods, etc. If you do the lake cabin, agree to have a night with a beach scene on the TV & he arranges your favorite drink and foods or etc., maybe even lay out some beach towels and pina coladas lol. Just a little gesture to show some appreciation for whichever spouse takes the L on this one.

Lake Tahoe is the best of both worlds!

This sounds a bit out there and is on the pricey side but it does hit both of your preferences. Norwegian Cruise Line has a cruise that does Alaska before hopping down and hitting a few Hawaiian islands. I think it only happens once or twice a year so it may not line up with your timeline but it's worthing looking into if you want the best of both worlds.
