dc liquor license

DC liquor license application requires “police clearance” from the DC police as well as the local jurisdiction where you live. Does anybody know what qualifies as police clearance? Is it fingerprints run against a criminal database, or a certificate of good conduct or something else? We live in nyc so will need to get this documentation from the nypd as well Smiley xd

Hi Yelena! Since you currently reside in NYC, you will need to first write a notarized letter to the DC metropolitan department, including a $7 money order, requesting your clearance. The letter should be sent to:

    Metropolitan Police Department

    Arrest and Criminal History Section

    ATTN: Police Clearances

300 Indiana Avenue NW, Room 1075

    Washington, DC 20001

Please reference this DC Gov Police Clearance Section for further instructions and details!
