By the Nationals Stadium!

National Arboretum, US Botanic Gardens (national mall), Old Ellicott City, the monuments

Nationa mall is nice!!!

National Arboretum (note: a photo session requires a permit you have to apply for a least a month in advance with fee; think it's $250).

We had our pics done in Old Town Alexandria, and they were gorgeous. Highly recommend the short train/car ride to there.

You guys are killing me. FH and I want to move to D.C. After we get married and we sometimes look at engagement photos up there like Damn those are beautiful! Best wishes on selecting locations @elephantlover.

Thanks everyone for their suggestions!!! Anyone do pictures at the national zoo?

I didn't take photos there, but I can say I absolutely LOVE DC!! I was just there last week with my Mom for a few days and there were many beautiful spots. Definitely check out Georgetown because I feel like the look is so unique and beautiful in that town. Also, make sure you get a White House and Capital picture! In the back of the capital you can definitely get nicer pictures because you can get closer. Also, if you go to the Lincoln monument and take a photo with the Washington monument and memorial pool in the background I believe that would be stunning. Oh! And in the art museum there are a lot of beautiful backgrounds. They have a cafe on the bottom floor where there's a hallway that has cool lighting effects and a waterfall. Plus there are courtyards that I think would look stunning in photos. I'm happy for you! DC is one of my favorite places. I would love to get my pictures done there but I'm a jersey girl and it would be a far drive to make my photographer go on. Here's a pic of my mom and I from our mother daughter trip last week.

We went to meadowlark gardens in Vienna

We did ours at the Washington Monument at sunrise and a local restaurant where we had our first date! Not entirely original since there were 3 other couples who were there shooting too, but I’m so so glad we have formal and informal photos!
