Day of coordinator

Katelyn, on August 21, 2019 at 1:35 PM Posted in Planning 0 3

For those of you that used a day of coordinator, was it worth it?

I have a friend who is very organized and great at all things wedding who has offered to be my day of coordinator, as well as assisting with bridesmaid dress shopping and the rehearsal.

Looking for pros and cons of both? Smiley smile

I used it because I had no time to do set up myself, otherwise I wouldn't have aha. But they're definitely very useful ! They kind of take over things that could stress you out such as logistics of things. But they can be really expensive and if it's not in your budget it's not a necessity. However since you said your friend offered it'd be cool. But I'd be mindful in that if she's a guest, it would be a lot of work to ask of her too.

She is being paid, I sent her a list of everything I'd want her to do and she agreed.

Hey Katelyn! That’s so kind of your friend to offer to help you out in this way! If you have decided to hire her as a DOC, I would highly recommend drawing up a contract to ensure that everything is covered before your wedding. I understand that she is your friend, but a contract might be even more helpful here so that you both know what is expected of each other.
