Dainty Rings

Amber, on December 2, 2023 at 2:25 PM Posted in Married Life 0 6
I married in 2019. I was wearing a wedding band and anniversary band up until last week when diamonds fell from both settings so now I am solely wearing my engagement ring, and I kind of like it! It’s such a dainty ring but the center Dainty Rings 1

diamond is an heirloom so it’s special. Anyone else decide to just wear their engagement ring post wedding? I may replace my bands eventually but for now I think I am enjoying the dainty-ness of my Dainty Rings 3

Your ring is super cute, and I love that it’s an heirloom! I just got married a month ago, but I have been alternating which ring I wear ever since. Some days I wear my engagement ring and other days I wear my wedding band. Although I love both rings, they’re both kinda large; which makes wearing them on the same finger feel like a lot. So usually I just choose to wear one or the other. I’ve actually been thinking about resizing my engagement ring to wear it on my right hand.

Thanks. My wedding band was thin just like my ER band but they always swiveled around and it bothered me that the diamonds never aligned on the bands . I got an anniversary band that was a thicker half eternity with bigger stones and I would wear that with my wedding band. I think this ER looks better alone personally so if I get a new wedding band I would probably get emerald cut eternity ,wear it alone but alternate. My fingers are super small I’m a 5, so too large doesn't suite me well.

My engagement ring is dainty but my fingers are not. 😆 I have kind of squatty fingers (short and fat), so I’m looking forward to adding the wedding band to have a little more substance to balance out. I’m planning to get mine soldered together after the wedding.

I know this is completely unsolicited advice, but I would highly suggest wearing your rings for a month or two before soldering them together. Once you solder them, you no longer have the option of just wearing one. I thought I would always want to wear both of my rings, but quickly realized most days I don’t want to. You may end up loving wearing both and want to do it every day! But I would definitely make sure that’s the case before making any permanent alterations to your rings.

Definitely good advice! There will be a few weeks minimum after the wedding before I have a chance to do it, so I’ll keep an open mind.
