Cowboy Boots and Wedding Dress

Paige, on March 7, 2014 at 4:04 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 25

So I'm having a rustic themed wedding and I really want to wear cowboy boots with my wedding dress, would it be to tacky? Has anyone else done it?

I did it. I wore fancy shoes for the ceremony and pictures, and my cowboy boots for the reception. It was largely because they were a gift from DH, and he asked me to wear them.

I will be wearing cowboy boots for some photos. I am wearing heels for the ceremony since I am 5'3 and FH is 6'3.

We will both be wearing our cowboy boots for the whole wedding. Not because it's the "trendy" thing to do but because it's US and it's what we like & what we want. I don't think it's tacky and I don't think there is anything wrong with it

DO IT!!! Everyone tries to talk me out of it but I'm still wearing mine. 1. I have never been able to walk in heels so why start on my wedding day? 2. I want to be comfortable and I always wear boots. My mom hates that I'm doing it but its my wedding. I will do what I want Im paying for it. My bridesmaids also are wearing their boots with whit their dresses. Same With Groom and Groomsmen.

Bring some heels with you in case you want to take some pictures without the boots.

Cute idea, but I feel like the more appropriate question would be who is NOT doing this? lol

I'm not a huge fan, but I am not a southern girl, so i think i just don't get it. then again, I don't get the sneakers under the dress either, so hell, i say do what you want. i think there are very few ways that footwear can be considered tacky

To be honest I feel like this idea is becoming cliché.

I have a very nice pair of boots that I love but I won't be wearing them on my wedding day. Just because boots are "you" doesn't mean they are appropriate.

It's becoming really common for brides to wear cowboy boots on their wedding day, especially here in Texas. If you feel comfortable in them and you like the look of them when you see photos of brides in wedding dresses and cowboy boots - go for it!

Even though I love my boots I refuse to wear them since they take away from the beauty of my dress

I'm not wearing them and we are having a "rustic" wedding, but it's mostly because I'm wearing flats and that's that. FH and groomsmen will be wearing cowboy boots though and that's fine by me.

I am wearing cowboy boots! We are having a beach wedding and I am not good in heels to begin with to even consider trying them in sand!

I'm wearing cowboy boots. If you have a long dress, it's not like anyone sees your shoes anyway. Wear whatever you want!

Cute idea. Not for me, and it's been done, but if you like it, I wouldn't talk you out of it.
