Covid... still 🥴

Samantha, on August 4, 2022 at 8:08 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 12

Y'all, I'm over this. We're 9 days out and I have 2 out of 3 siblings positive with COVID. They're quarantining, and they tested positive early enough that they'll still be able to travel per the CDC (provided they're feeling better). But a really good friend of mine got hit hard with it and she just texted to let me know she and her boyfriend won't be able to make it.

We only invited 44 people to our wedding and we're now down to 33 including us and the photographer. I'm just feeling a little sad and stressed?

Who else is stressing about the latest spike? 😳 I figured that a wedding in 2022 wouldn't have these problems still..

Aww this is such hard news I hope your siblings and friend feel better soon. Its completely understandable to be sad and upset about this but in 9 days you are getting married to your love yay! I hope you have the best day with your loved ones and can feel the love from them and those you could not make the celebration. Sending you a big hugSmiley heart

Aww I am sorry so that you had gotten hit some horrible news and then you still will have your siblings still will be able to attend. And travel to still celebrate with you and your FH. This things is annoying and I agree I'm so over this now. But you still will have a beautiful wedding day with your family and friends. And prayers for your friend and her boyfriend a full speedy recovery

Take a deep breath and try not to let it bog you down. Some things are out of our control. 💗 I hope that your siblings do not have severe symptoms and feel well enough to attend, and I also hope that your friend gets better soon.

We had 59 attending plus us, and then the week of the wedding our count went down by 11 people between COVID and other circumstances. It all worked out though, and everyone is ok and healthy now which is important. We still got married and it was a beautiful day. Smiley smile
I’d say for you and your fiancé to hang low as much as you can to avoid possible exposure (by being out and about), you don’t want to run the risk of getting covid yourselves, and then enjoy your special day together as husband and wife. ☺️

I feel your stress. I got hit with covid a couple weeks ago and I was down for the count. I couldn’t leave the bedroom or bathroom for a solid week. It’s really tough, but I’d just try to give them some grace- hopefully they’ll be able to recover quickly

Aw I'm really sorry to hear that. It's unbelievable that this is still going on. I wish I could say something helpful, but it just sucks.

Yup. It’s a real downer. I made a post about how guests caught Covid at our wedding a few weeks ago.
There’s not much you can do except move forward.

Thank you everyone for your kind words (and your commiserating 😅)! Fortunately, all siblings are feeling MUCH better now and are testing negative so I think we're good to go 😍

Yay. Glad to hear that. It is sad times where people are focused on covid instead of regular life.
