Just Said Yes March 2021

Covid Dilemmas

Hi! Just another bride here with too many unknowns swirling!

Here’s our situation and how you can help us find clarity.
We are talking about cancelling our large 220 person wedding for March 2021 in Michigan and doing a family-only ceremony on that date. We are tossing around the idea of a possible casual outdoor reception in the summer, but we don’t want to do anything super expensive and aren’t sure we will want to do it at that point.
We already had one bridal shower a few months back with another planned to happen in about a month (drive by style). Do we keep doing that bridal shower even if we aren’t going to invite everyone to the ceremony and may not even have a large reception in the summer?? Some people have said they still want to celebrate us in some way, but I don’t want it to be tacky if we don’t end up having the big reception. Ugh! Too many unknowns have my head spinning. Help!

Hi Taylor! If you already have invitations out for the drive-by bridal shower, then I'd just keep it as planned!! I'm sure everyone understands how crazy and unpredictable it is trying to have events and celebrations right now!

You could also think about a downsized wedding that's larger than family-only, but within social distancing guidelines locally! Here are a few other recent discussions from March 2021 couples you should check out and join in to see what they're thinking for March:
