We are getting married at a 1800s chair factory that was recently renovated to be a beautiful, industrial chic venue. We fell in love with it! It happens to have the same restaurant catering it that we went to the night we got engaged as well.

Our venue is MKJ Farm in Deansboro! We actually just sent out contract to our photographer yesterday, and are working on booking our DJ. It's definitely a little early, but everything around here just books so quickly!! The only issue I've had is that the only caterer we contacted said it's too early for them. Both my photographer and DJ have commented that it's a good thing we started so early though!

Yay date twins!! My FH and I have a venue picked out but unfortunately we have to wait until we are exactly 11 months out to book it. It's a 4H camp that is part of Watkins Glen State Park. The ceremony will be outside and the reception will be inside.

We booked the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk CT we are so excited. It’s nice to see other couples giving themselves a little extra time. Did anyone get asked about why the longer engagement ..... we get asked all the time.

Hi Meaghan! That aquarium is gorgeous and such a unique idea! I grew up in downstate NY (Rockland county) so we would go there a lot

And yes we get asked that all the time! To the point where some of my family thought they weren't invited to our wedding because we haven't sent out any save the dates yet. It makes the wedding planning both more laid back and stressful at the same time. We did based off our finances which apparently shocks some people!

I totally agree it’s a blessing and a curse.... we did it for the same reasons we didn’t want to stress for a whole year about finances and put unrealistic expectations on ourselves. We are paying for our own wedding which apparently also shocks people.

We are getting married in Akron,NY and after 4 months of hunting..I did what I said I would never do. We booked a brand new venue that's not built yet 🙊! Oh my goodness! When do they think the venue will be ready? The concept photos look gorgeous! I lived out in Buffalo/Williamsville for a couple years. Apparently I just love the tundra haha

And oh my gosh, no way! Small world! We just moved out of East Amherst! I almost went to Syracuse to look for a dress, but actually found the one/her last week in Williamsville! Have you gone dress shopping yet? I know I feel I'm a bit early on that but that's okay!
