Couples getting married on October 16, 2019 in Tennessee

Hey everyone! Curious as to what prompted you all have picked a Wednesday to get married, I’m sure there’s tons of interesting reasons behind it!

Ill share our reasoning first. Not very special, more practical. We are from MN and will be vacationing for the first time in the Smoky Mountains, and just kind of stumbled upon the whole idea to elope (or get married, for those who are particular about it) while we were there. It’ll be just the two of us and then when we return home we’ll have a big reception type party for family and friends.

    How many guests will be invited to the reception back home? Where will it be?

    Thanks! We are very excited we are doing something a little less traditional.

    We are having a buffet style reception a couple of weeks later at a casino that just was renovated to accommodate weddings. Catering is in house and what we loved was the hotel was in the same building, so the older crowd & drinkers only need to get to an elevator to make it to their rooms for the night Smiley smile there’s also a pool for the families with kids.
    We’re inviting 130 so it’ll definitely be a lot of people. Our photographer is going to get us a few pictures ASAP after the ceremony so we’ll be able to show some at the party.
