Getting married on May 11th 2024! Anyone else? So far I have venue, DJ, photographer, and hotel block booked. Ordered save the dates and will send them out early November. What else should I be doing at this point?

Hey! My name is Alexandra too, and I'm also getting married on May 11, 2024! Smiley heart Smiley ring

If it helps, I'll tell you what I've done so far:

Hired venue, photographer/videographer, DJ, Rentals, Makeup/Hair Artist, Day of coordinator, Cake baker, Florist, Childcare, dance floor white vinyl wrap. We paid all of these deposits, and have paid off 75% of the venue so far.

-I have chosen and bought my dress

-I have chosen my bridesmaid and flower girl dresses (bridesmaids need to order their dress by December)

-We have chosen the grooms and Groomsmen tuxes (and the ring bearers)

-We have chosen our Honeymoon destination, hired a travel coordinator and paid the deposit

-We ordered and sent out our "Save the Dates" out in July

    - I booked the resort room for my bachelorette party and made a FB Event

-We have created our wedding website and Registry

-We reserved our restaurant for Rehearsal dinner

Things we still need to do before May:

-We still need to Hire our Officiant.

-We still need to purchase our rings (we chose them, but haven't purchased)

-I still need to purchase my Veil, Reception dress, and shoes

-Hire a rental car for the bachelorette party

-We still need to buy our invitations (we will send them in January)

-We still need to finalize our seating chart

-We still need to order some extras like uplighting, guestbook, vow books, a neon sign, tables numbers, signage etc.

-I still need to get alterations for my dress

-We still need to write our vows

Hey wedding day twin! That's awesome, sounds like you've gotten a lot done!

I just got engaged about a month ago, so it's definitely been a little more stressful than I anticipated having a short engagement lol (I'm 38 so I didn't want to waste anymore time). When I went to try on dresses they didn't think anything would be ready in time due to how long it takes to arrive which was news to me, but I got lucky.

Sounds like I should get started on the wedding registry and honeymoon planning! I'm not having a bridal party and am just having a courthouse ceremony (the wedding will just be a reception) so that has simplified some things, though I do have a maid of honor who is helping with bachelorette planning. Kind of crazy how much goes into planning a wedding!

Checking in with my wedding date twins - how is everyone doing?? I feel like there are so many last minute things to do at this point, as well as things I can't do yet until I get all the RSVPS!
