Couples getting married on March 11, 2023

My fiancé and I are taking it slow since he’s going on deployment and we want to plan together. But we have our wedding party, location, and a drafted guest list! We chose the date because March is when we started dating and when he proposed so it’s a sentimental time.

That’s basically where we are too. We have our wedding party members planned out and will start asking them this spring/ summer since some are out of town. We started our guest list too! Definitely didn’t think it’d be as big as it is already haha. And we have a general location, we’ll be booking our venue this fall!We started dating in September but started talking to only each other in March and he’ll still be in college so that’s when his spring break is so we’ll be able to take our honeymoon right after instead of waiting!

That's the date we want to snag!

We are theming our wedding around one of our favorite games (Chrono Trigger), which was originally released on a March 11th.

We just began scoping out venues on here this week. We've made a guest list, have started making progress on a color palette (and know what we would like our wedding party to wear), and have decided who to include in our wedding party (but waiting until we book a venue to ask them so that we have a date and location ready for them).

It’s been great going on venue tours and then sending photos to my bridal party and having them ooohh and awww at the photos! But my girls are fairly flexible, especially this far out! And our location range is fairly small.

Our location range is pretty solid too and we have a lot of out-of-state/town guests so we want it relatively close to an airport (there are 3 major ones in our area). I only have one person on the bridal party that isn't local to me (he's in TX and I'm in CA), and my partner has 2 that are out-of-state for him, so we can probably give them a general idea for venue location!

View Quoted Comment We live by DC so all of our venues would be about an hour and a half from either the Baltimore or the two DC airports! But we only have one person who would be flying from over seas and two people in the bridal party coming from out of state! The rest would be driving between 45 minutes and 6 hours to get to us but we also are looking for places in hotel heavy areas.


We went on a venue tour yesterday and we think it’s the one!!

That sounds exciting! We're just starting to schedule some tours.

We're in SF, so the Bay Area has a fair amount of hotels around the airports, but all of our friends and family in the area wouldn't really drive more than an hour for where we're looking.

I'm getting married that day! We picked that day because we didnt want a super hot wedding here in the south but didnt want it to be freezing either. We have everything all planned out and this year we just have to pay for everything.

Can't believe this is less than a year away now!

We took a break from planning from about November through February and then picked it up again this month. Feels like everything is going by so fast now; we finalized and signed our venue contract, so we secured the date, then booked our DJ and Photographer.

I've ordered the last piece of our invitations since I was waiting on signing a venue contract to set some things in stone, so I can start assembling them next month!

I’m getting married that date and tbh it was a weekend my hubs and his friends were off lol. I’ve got a lot of planning done including my dress, venue, dj, makeup artist, hair stylist, and bartenders.
