Couples getting married on June 26, 2020 in Kentucky

Racheal, on July 16, 2019 at 9:24 AM Posted in Kentucky Planning 0 5
Hello! We are getting married at the Apiary on the same date. Have any of you had luck with a florist that is less than $3500? We only have two bridesmaids and two groomsmen with only 10 tables so I wasn’t quite expecting such a large floral budget. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the WeddingWire community, Racheal Smiley smile

The WeddingWire cost guide is a really cool tool when figuring out the average amount spent on wedding vendors in your area.

According to the tool in Lexington KY, most couples spend between $1,000 - $2,400 on wedding flowers, with the average flowers cost coming in at $1,675.

Have you received pricing from a couple of florists? If not, I would definitely recommend you shop around to see if you can get a price more within your budget elsewhere.

Bear in mind that the selection of flowers may also affect price. Flowers which are not in season or are difficult to find may affect price.

You could always get real flowers for you and your groom and then fake ones for the bridesmaid and groomsman, there are some nice looking bouqets on amazon and ebay for under 40 dollars Smiley smile That is my plan! some are much cheaper than thatSmiley smile

We have a small wedding (80-90 max)- find some ways to compromise- maybe different centerpieces, buy your own candles, stands, do the same thing with less flowers, more greenery.

Take out some flowers that are more expensive- sub them out with more affordable options. Maybe compromise on certain pieces: arches, garlands etc. what are you wanting?
