I'm feeling pretty good -- there's a little bit to do, like make the welcome sign & the table numbers, plus create the giant timeline of info to send out to the wedding party, but that's not too much! We spent most of the afternoon yesterday running around to get all the wedding & Christmas stuff done, but now it's done and we just need to finish things up.

I would say the last three weeks have been BUSY, so make sure you create a lot of margin in the month of your wedding. Two weeks ago, my schedule looked like this:

Monday - Last dress fitting w/ Maid of Honor so she can learn the bustle. This was maybe a 30 minute appointment and only my 2nd fitting but I needed very little alterations.

Tuesday - Dinner date with fiance to plan the ceremony. This took a few hours and it came after I had already been doing research about some readings I might like and we talked back and forth about a worship song for a while. So the ceremony probably took at least 10 hours to plan, when you account for looking for readings and songs, thinking about what you want the ceremony to look like, running ideas across your friends (LOL), etc. Making this a dinner date made it feel definitely more fun.

Wednesday - last meeting with venue & coordinator to go over final details. THEN we went to our last pre-marital counseling. This was like 3-4 hours of meetings.

Having the ceremony planned by this day was VITAL because we had to go over AV equipment and organization... and then we figured out I needed to make a program because we're having a worship song, so that gave me enough time to get it done & printed. It would have been even more helpful to have had the last pre-marital counseling before the venue meeting because there were a few more details we finalized that affected ceremony set up that I had to email the venue about. Not a big deal AT ALL, but would have been nice to feel more confident about all those details in talking with the venue coordinator in person.

Thursday - lay on the couch and watch Hallmark movies. LOL.

2 months out is when we started having our bridal showers (both families threw us one because my whole family lives in another state and my fiance's family is HUGE so we couldn't invite all the cousins), so that was busy on the weekends a little bit, but in a fun way.

I think if you are careful to create a lot of margin, then you'll feel busy but not necessarily stressed out because there IS enough time to get it all done. We planned to get married at this time because my school has two weeks off for break, so I have a full week off before my wedding, and then the full week after it off, so that has been SO HELPFUL.

We are getting very excited! I think mostly I have a lot of peace about it and still a lot of, "Wait, I'm getting MARRIED?!!!! to THIS guy!!!??!!!???" so that's fun.
