Hello twins! Congratulations to all of you! You picked a great date!
My name is Cheryl and my fiancé is Jeff and we've been engaged 9 years, been best friends for 25 years.
So what colors are you guys having at your wedding? I'm having a terrible time trying to choose my colors.
Help!

Congrats to you! Smiley smile One of my best friends is also getting married on this day, yay! She’s thinking about sage green, tan, and gray. I’m getting married in November and my colors are juniper green, navy blue, and slate gray. I changed my mind about colors twice. Don’t worry, you’ll figure it out. You have plenty of time. Maybe start out with your favorite color and/or FH and start from there? Good luck!

Wow Cheryl, congratulations on the start of your wedding planning! A 9-year engagement is quite an achievement!

Have you thought about what style of wedding you would like to have? That might influence your color scheme a bit. Also, if you are getting married in the Spring, some fresh bright colors might be nice?

If you are really stumped about what colors to choose, you should have a look at our Color Palette Generator. It’s a fun game that you can play that will recommend colors that might suit your wedding. It will at least give you an idea as to what colors go together and compliment each other.

We also have a fun little quiz in our ideas sections - Which Wedding Colors Are Right for You?

You can also play around with this and see what colors it recommends.

Come back and tell us what color palette you get, I got ‘Golden Hour’ when I took the quiz!

Thank you for all of your advice! Can you point me to the Palette Generator? The link didn't work. And Congratulations to you.
I think I'm going with a Navy dress and mint bridesmaid dresses but I don't know how to tie in the decorations.

Yes, of course! I've attached the link again here - Color Palette Generator. I hope it works for you this time. If not, you can also find it in the Planning Tools tab at the top of the WeddingWire site.

Navy is a great color for BM's dresses, it suits everyone! Maybe a blush pink would contrast well with the navy and mint green?

One of my bridesmaids got me a wedding binder planner from Barnes and nobles. One of the first pages in a bunch of squares with different colors that have perforated lines so you can choose some that you like and put them all together. For me personally I’m doing different variations of pinks, blushes, Light browns. Very muted colors because I want the flowers and the greenery to stand out. The bouquets are going to be greenery, maroon, pinks, peach, oranges. My advice for making everything tie together is not making it look like everything makes. You can do little pops of you different colors in different areas of your wedding. Good luck!

    Hey wedding twins!!

Congrats to everyone getting married!! Out of curiosity, were there any particular reasons you chose this date? For us we originally wanted the 18th (our anniversary is on 12/18/11) but it wasn't available at our dream venue so we just pushed it a week! Plus now I get to make all the Miss Congeniality jokes Smiley tongue

Cameron & I have been together for 7 years, going on 8 and have been engaged for almost 2 years (:

Our color palette includes dusty shades of blue (my fav color), red (his fav color), blush, nude, & green. Our theme is "mix match thrift shop" we joke we are polar opposites and I'm a lover of mix matched things so that's what we've been going with!
