Colorado Brides!

Hello! Are there any brides in Colorado that are getting married in the next few weeks or even month? How are you handling the stress? What are your vendors and guests saying?

Not handling it very well. Our date is November 13 and I am in the Springs. I tried to postpone months ago and was unable to. We have been following Denver pretty closely with mandates. I have cred like 10 times this week already. Smiley sad How are you feeling?!

Most of my guests are from out of town. They are still coming and we are still getting married on our day. Even if its in my backyard. Most of my vendors were included in the venue and nobody has said anything yet.

So much stress and only 29 days to go. This past Friday my venue in Estes Park was evacuated due to the Cameron Peak and East Troublesome fires; luckily the snow this past Sunday helped, but we aren't out of the clear yet. My rehearsal dinner venue is on the next ridge over from one of the fires so if it moves at all in that direction, we likely won't be having a rehearsal dinner which is fine except that it's on Thanksgiving so it was meant to be a way to bring our families together for their first holiday. My venue is still able to host my entire guest list even with the new mandate luckily so I'm glad my FH and I wanted a small-ish wedding anyways (75 people). Lastly, I leave this weekend (booked yesterday) to go see my grandpa in Michigan who is being taken off his comfort medications and will be saying my last goodbyes. It's even harder because my dad (Air Force) is stationed in South Korea so he isn't able to visit due to the travel and quarantine restrictions. Praying my grandpa can hang in there until the week of my wedding because then my dad would be able to go visit as he arrives the weekend before my wedding. I've been in such a slump since I received the news, but my FH has been so understanding and comforting during this time. I just need a giant hug from all my family.

Very Stressed, Our date is 12-21-2020, right before Christmas, and Thanks to the Pandemic, we have already cut the list down, just incase Colorado goes to Level 3, we would need to cut just a few more people. Not what i was thinking about my wedding, but hopefully its quaint and cozy.

My date is also the 13th. We found out yesterday that our venue flooded on top of the whole covid thing. I've cried once this week, but have bad anxiety.

Hi Rebecca. We have only 75 guests and were talking about cutting back. I couldn't imagine doing that. What do you fell like the guests?

My wedding is 55 people but if we go to a level three, any indoor events will be limited to 25 people. Smiley cry That is what stresses me out. Is your reception outdoors?

When will you find out if you're in the clear for wedding and rehearsal? I will be praying for your family in this rough time.

I'm sorry to hear about your family. Its hard to be away from family. My other half's family lives in Korea too. Unfortunately none of them can make it. I think we talked about having a reception in his hometown when this all "blows over" so that all of our family can be there. Hang in there!

    Hi Allyza,

It was hard, we had originally about 120, so we cut it in half, and then cut back a bit more. We sent out a notification on the same invitation paper. But its freaking hard. I have no idea about doing a rehearsal dinner, due to COVID, or a Wedding Shower.

I talked to my vendor and we're trying to make it work. Our ceremony is outside but the reception is inside. We are lucky enough to have the whole building so we can try and social distance better.

I wanted to go paintballing so we had our shower in September thankfully and even then it was only 10 people. My other half still wants to have a bachelor party, but I don't know how he plans to accomplish that. I'm worried about the rehearsal dinner too. We're meeting with our vendor today and seeing what they say.

Is anyone requiring temperature checks upon arrival to the ceremony?

My ceremony is outdoors and my reception is indoors. At level 1 and 2, our venue can hold 175 people (which is 50% capacity). If it goes to level 3, because they have a life rite variance, we are still able to keep our 75 people. I haven't heard anything from our rehearsal dinner venue so I'll be reaching out today.

Mine is the same. We have the whole building as well. I am just super nervous about us going to level three and our reception is down to 25 people AKA we will have to cancel. Smiley sad Hopefully your venue will make it work though! UGH 15 days away and this madness just takes over again.

I know. What county are you in? Our county hasn't said anything in regards to it the whole thing yet.

Our venue has required a say of print and sign liability waiver where guests have to agree that they are attending knowing about the risks of the pandemic and that they can't seek legal action with the venue if they contract it.
