Cocktail hour centerpieces

Ashley, on July 15, 2019 at 10:56 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 11

Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be in the same room. I have the centerpieces for the tables, but we will have small cocktail tables set up on the upper area of the room. Would you do different centerpieces?

This is where the cocktail hour would be

But with these tables:

I am thinking maybe single candles or flowers?

I don't really think they need centerpieces actually. But if you want, can you do something like your centerpieces on the reception table but as a mini version

A candle in a vase (tea light or medium cylinder) would be perfect! Ask if you need to use flameless.

Maybe these tall ones then? i agree with you that just a candle in a vase will be the way I go then

If it is in a vase or holder I do not. I am doing floating candles on the main tables so that was my first ask.

I would go with something very simple. A single candle or flower. Sometimes the venues have something simple like that they will provide. Doesn't hurt to ask.

    I don’t see a pic.

Oh, if you’re doing floating candles on the main tables (I’m guessing three tall or ones of various heights together?) what if you put one like those on the cocktail tables so it’ll tie in?

    Not sure what happened earlier.

Yes my centerpieces will be 2 of these with a taller vase with one single flower in it with a floating candle

I don’t think cocktail hour centerpieces are necessary, but a simple candle would be nice.

Oh pretty! I think one of these would tie in nicely. Or a simple, clear short votive that matches the modern style of these.

We are also having the cocktail hour in the same room as the reception. We are having one candle on each high top. That's plenty!

I would either go with a single, tall candle or skip the centerpieces. Someone always knocks stuff over on those small tables, and there’s never enough room when you have a group of people trying to stand around one at the same time.
