How much should I expect to pay for bridal gown cleaning in NYC, Long Island? I am not looking for additional preservation.
My bridal store in Manhasset referred me to a nearby cleaners with a $100 discount. They have been in business since the 1960s. My ceremony dress is plain ivory mikado with detachable skirt, and wash only (not drycleaning). I paid $1600 for the dress, and was quoted $350 to clean (with discount). I plan to wear the ceremony dress for galas, etc. in the future. My reception dress was $3500 and has everything and the kitchen sink with it and a detachable skirt. I'm fine paying $500. I plan to sit on the couch and enjoy it.
There are no wine stains or repair issues with either dress. The cleaner took into account the dress maker, but I'm tired of paying big. The wedding is over and I just want to take care of my things, not enshrine them. Thank you.
