Cheap Wedding Venues in Virginia

Shana, on December 26, 2018 at 4:23 PM Posted in Virginia Planning 1 11
Hi, there.
I want to have my wedding in my home state in Virginia. I am on a budget and I want to make it below $2,000. I know some things need to give or take, but I just need some guidance.
Thank you.

I’d start by searching on here. I found my photographer, videographer, MUA, and officiant on here.

Just making sure I understand. You want your venue rental to be below $2000? If so, that is a reasonable budget in my area (RI). Consider off days/times. For example, my venue would have been 1500 for a Saturday night but instead we paid 750 for a Friday night. Would have been even less for a weekday. I found my venue here on WW.

Hi! I am finding myself in the same dilemma and am wondering if you found a venue that won’t break your bank.
I was pretty set on one of the historic homes in Fairfax due to pricing and convenience in the location, but when contacting them, they shared they are not accepting rental request for 2020.

    Smiley amazing

We ended up going with Old Town Hall.

We'll be using it for the dress rehearsal, set-up, ceremony, and reception and it totaled 3500.

Which (I think) is great for Fairfax.

    We'll be there 4-12 so I'm excited!

I looked at Old Town Hall as a potential venue but the space looked tight for 150 people. Did you end up using the library upstairs for your ceremony?

I know when my FH and I started looking that’s the price he wanted to pay for a venue. We live in Hampton Roads and let me tell you that most of the venues here are much higher than that.
We were looking at the botanical gardens in Norfolk as possible cheaper option.
I think the elopement package was 1800 and the next level up was between 2200 and 2800, if I remember correctly.
