Cheap Caribbean Split Deposit

Alejandra, on September 21, 2013 at 10:50 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 5

Has anyone used the Cheap Caribbean Spilt Deposit program to book their honeymoon? If so, how does it work? I can't find information on how much the deposit is, like if it's a certain percentage.

What else should I know about Cheap Caribbean? We are looking to go to an all-inclusive in Cancun at the end of May. Prices look good now but I'm not sure if they will go up or down closer to the date. Also, they give the option to book other tours and activities, is it worth it to do at the time of booking? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I've used Cheap Caribbean before, but never the split deposit. I've found it to be a good deal, and I believe you get a discount if it's your first time booking. As for the excursions, I would book your airport shuttle so you know that's taken care of and then book the excursions at the hotel once you get there.

Yes, it looks like a $100 discount on the first time booking. I played around with it a little bit and it seems like the deposit is around 50% of the total amount, with the remaining balance being due 21 days before the trip.

We just aren't sure how far in advance to book to get the best rates. Thanks for the tip on the excursions!

I used it to take FH to PR for his bday. Total cost of the trip was about $600. I paid half when I booked and the other half 2 weeks or something before we flew out. It all worked out fine. No advice on excursions because we mostly just drank and lounged lol. We are using Cheap Cruises for part 2 of our honeymoon. $24.99 was due at the time of booking, $250 will be due in May and the rest will be due 60 days before departure. We have the choice to book excursions beforehand but we haven't decided on that yet.
