Changing the date on save the dates you already ordered?

Brittany, on September 4, 2020 at 9:34 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

So my fiance and I ordered save the dates before Covid and did send out a few so for those who already received theirs the plan was to get change the dates and send those out. But for those who haven't received a save the date I'd rather send them one thing then send them both bc that's a bit confusing. So my question in does anyone have any tips on a way to change the date on our original save the date, like maybe a place to get stickers that could cover it or something? I've googled solutions but can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

If you google for ways to fix typos on invitations, that might yield results closer to what you're looking for! A label/sticker with the new date on it, as you mentioned, could work.

Not sure where you got your save the dates from, but some websites are offering significant discounts if you need to reprint save the date cards, are ordering change of date cards, etc.

Can you get reprints from the company? Many are offering them free or discounted. I wouldn't add stickers or whiteout since it gives a homemade look that you don't want.

Yes a lot of printing companies are reprinting for free if you need a new date due to COVID.

I would just order new ones. We ordered ours through Shutterfly before covid and they gave us a credit to use so we could print new ones for free.

We did this, our Save the Dates came in in mid March...just as COVID blew up in our area. We hadn’t sent any of them out but I didn’t want to have to throw them out, plus the picture we used was a pumpkin we’d actually carved and we wanted to use it without having to carve another one, restage the picture, etc.

Fixed the numbers with metallic and black sharpie markers. Then we wrote on the back an explanation of our decision (for us it’s a postponed reception, we’re keeping our original date for a small ceremony).
The change looks obvious, but we weren’t trying to convince guests it hadn’t changed. We were a bit more tongue in cheek about it.
